The short version
HTTPGlass is an HTTP and HTTPS debugging proxy for iPhone, iPad, Android and Mac. It captures and decrypts the traffic your apps send, shows which app made each request, and lets you block, pause, mock, redirect, rewrite, script, and throttle it. It's made by Nutiverse.
What it does
- On Mac: runs a local proxy and points the system proxy at it while capturing, then restores the previous settings
- On iPhone and iPad: runs on the device itself through a local VPN tunnel, with no Mac and no cable needed
- On Android: runs on the device itself through Android's VPN service, with no computer and no root needed
- Decrypts HTTPS with a root certificate created on the device, and on Mac and Android labels every request with the app that made it
- Free: decrypt one app (or up to five hosts) at a time, search and filters, body viewers, GraphQL and WebSocket inspectors, Copy as cURL, code generation, Repeat Request, and HAR export and sessions (Mac and iPhone/iPad)
- Pro: unlimited decryption and rules, No-Cache, Map Local, Map Remote, Rewrite, JavaScript scripting, and Network Condition throttling
The feature pages and the documentationcover each of these in detail, including what HTTPGlass can't see.
